With 20 plus years of frontline experience, we’ve developed proven, trauma-informed methods that help staff prevent and de-escalate crises before they escalate.
We believe in prevention first, but if all else fails, individuals are held without harm—ensuring dignity, compassion, and safety remain at the core of every intervention.

Founded by Clifford Cartagena, RN, a nurse with over 20 years of experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, and memory care, Gentleway Systems blends real-world safety expertise, gentle way principles, and trauma-informed care into a practical, results-driven approach to personal and workplace safety.
Our Story
Gentleway Systems began as a specialized training program for healthcare and frontline professionals. Over time, it grew to serve anyone seeking practical safety and the tools they can trust.
From hospital units to real estate showings, from memory care homes to everyday life — we’ve seen the challenges people face and the need for simple, effective solutions that keep people safe.
